Great overview, Caterina! I admire people who manage to build a business that allows them to live the life they love, whether as nomads or settled abroad.

Thanks for including me! The nomadic/travel lifestyle is often over-glamorized, so I love that you're showing the real side of it. Yes, we actually work! It’s not just lounging in trendy cafés or working from beachside tiki huts, like people often picture 😅

How interesting to see a variety of profiles for digital nomads. Thanks for sharing the realness of this lifestyle, it’s not all coconuts and palm trees on the beach. But wouldn’t have it any other way!

I’m so glad you liked it, Kelly! Yes, it’s so important to show the real side of this lifestyle! Are you also a digital nomad/remote worker? From your bio, it sounds like you are!

Very interesting and well put together summary. My partner and I have been travelling Europe in our campervan for the past 2 years. Believe it or not, my partner teaches yoga online directly from the van! I've recently trained to be a life coach and also dabble in ESL conversational sessions...it's been an interesting journey so far and definitely not as easy as some make out to get things up and running! Thanks for sharing

Good stuff Caterina. I've been nomading for almost 8 years on and off and I think in my early days (circa 2017-2019), I noticed a huge disparity among people who called themselves digital nomads. On one side, you had those who were entrepreneurs and were successfully making money while traveling. On the other, you had people who were just getting started and were using their travels to extend their runway.

I sense though that this gap has decreased a bit since COVID. You have more "traditionally employed" workers, who weren't digital nomads pre-pandemic, but now are due to companies embracing hybrid and remote work.

Thank you for your comment, Jon! What you shared is very interesting, and I agree. I think it would have been impossible before the pandemic to imagine traditional roles like marketing, HR, and consulting being fully remote. Also, you’re such a pioneer in this space that I’m sure you have plenty to share! Give me a month or two to warm up my engine and come up with a proposal for collaboration! 😄
