I'd even say it’s healthy to change your mind! Thank you, Cate, for de-dramatizing change and job hopping. We should all follow the White Rabbit down the hole at some point!
It's okay to change your mind. I studied somethign that has nothing to do with what I do now (law, of all things!), changed industries 5 times and started writing at 41.
Nice Caterina, you are right about not having to explain yourself to anyone. If you made a decision and you're happy with it, just go forward on your own path. In the end, the only person you are going to have to answer to when you're dying is yourself.

This sounds like pure music to my hears, Veronica! I love reading about other people's life pivots! Thank you for sharing! 💙

Gosh, I know that feeling so well! Glad it resonated! 💙
This one hit home in the best possible way.
I’ve been told more than once that my choices don’t “make sense on paper,” but they’ve always made sense in my bones.
Reading this reminded me that aliveness is a better compass than approval.
I loved the way you described the nonlinear path, not as something to be justified, but something to be lived.
And honestly? The line about not needing permission… I needed to hear that today.
Thank you for putting this into words so bravely and beautifully.
